The course was designed by Trent Jones Jnr and was opened in 1992. There is nothing overly complicated or technical about this course but it always manages to be one of the most popular in the area. One of the biggest attractions with this course is the fact the hole srun effortlessly in to each other and there are no long jokes between holes. The terrain is relatively flat making it a pleasurable course to walk and take in the scenery.
The fairways are plam tree lined and generally pretty wide although on the 9th and 18th hole the fairways do narrow making the holes even more of a challenge. Should you hit the ball off the fairway into the semi rough finding your ball isn't too challenging - a welcome relief to many higher handicappers.
The closing two par 4 holes have more trees to encounter but the attractive backdrop of jungle clad hill is a splendid sight. Many of the holes have flowers adorning them, most notably the attractive par 3 13th hole. One of the key features of the Eastern Star Golf Resort is the quality of the bunkers. All of the bunkers are well placed and wel maintain something that you associate with Trent Jones' designs.
The clubhouse is basic but in good condition with a small restaurant and club shop. The locker rooms are clean and tidy. There is a driving range and putting green close to the first tee for those looking to loosen up before their game.
The town of Bang Chang is close by and is a popular stop off for golfers before returning to Pattaya. There is a street with a number of bar and the ever popular Camel Pub is a great place to eat after your round.

2 of the greens are in very bad shape. Greenskeeper should concentrate on the course and not messing around with unnecessary stuff like extra greens on the 1st and 13th which have proved to be a waste of money.Caddies attentive as always.
